Ciao, Bella!

Positano was an absolute dreamy dream. Italy is Paradise! If you’ve been there you understand the sentiment.

One of my most favorite things about Positano — I mean besides the cliffside dwellings, painted in colors of sunset. Besides the abundance of readily available margarita pizzas (I DIE over that fresh, bright white mozzarella)! And besides the orange umbrella-lined beaches, which attract flocks of the happiest, most beautiful tourists and locals —Is the fact that lemons are piled high, everywhere!

They sit in bright yellow mounds, in every corner market, and on every fruit cart that lines those narrow Positano roads. The citrusy fruits are everywhere, and they are the size of small melons! Lemons also make their appearance in every local shop in the form of lemon soaps, shampoos, hand creams, chocolates and candies, beverages, and my personal favorite, chilled lemon sorbet, which is served to you in a hollowed lemon rind.

Happy Monday!! I had a fun weekend with the kids – lots of swimming and playing. I am back on track working out and it feels soo good. I hate having to take a day off (I usually take sundays off) but I was sure craving a gym session today. David gets home finally tonight – yay! It has been good for him to have some time with brothers and whatnot because he has kinda had a hard year. David will do a guest post when he is ready and update you all on what has been goin on this year. (after some emails I realized I may have worded that weird – I didn’t mean anything with us, just meant with his brother passing and his dad has been really sick 🙁 we haven’t mentioned it until now.) But we are glad he is coming back!

Some pics from NYC! Is it terrible to admit that we mostly slept in the hotel the whole time? Haha. I was away from the kids and it just felt so good to lay down and read and relax. I am currently reading (well listening.. audio book) to Present Over Perfect and I just can’t stop I love it so much. I walked in the Rebecca Minkoff show which I will do a separate post about but beyond that I didn’t feel up to doing any other fashion week stuff this year. I just wanted some fun times with my sis. She is 7 months pregnant – due December 1st ah! Also can you believe her 7 month bump looks that tiny?! Mine was ginormous at 7 months.

I know boring that I styled this outfit the same way on the site but I really loved how they paired it so just went with it.

Bonjour, Ladies!

During my last trip to Paris, beauty was on my mind. And how could it not be? The city is essentially a big arena where beautiful food, beautiful architecture and beautiful people are all sparring for first place for the “Most Charming Award”— and they ALL win. It’s beautiful, but more than that it is CHARMING. The city really knows how to woo you. And at the top of the Charming list, are the people. The Parisian women know how to be exquisitely beautiful, but in an understated, “not trying” kind of way. When I asked women on the street and in beauty shops what their philosophy on beauty was, most responded that the French never compromise luxury, never ever. They buy classics, and stick to the classics, while ignoring trends. They never “push it” when it comes to beauty, either. When they apply makeup, it’s never to change themselves, it’s only used to “freshen up” their looks.

Rosie in the first pic haha. And her poor forehead – she fell. And her mouth was covered in raspberry juice from eating raspberries! I love farmer’s markets. We ate at the same restaurant every day because it was so good and every time we ordered Gratin de Crozet every time. Crozet pasta is pasta cut into tiny squares! It is baked into a casserole with cream, cheese, ham, and butter. It is soo good. Here is a recipe for it, if you want to try it at home. I love to visit new places but I also love the feeling of visiting somewhere that feels familiar. We stayed at this airbnb which ended up being so great. It was cheap and right in town. This dress is in my top 3 for favorite dresses I have ever owned. After this we went up to our room and changed into swimsuits and spent the rest of the day on the lake! Continue reading

You have probably seen this spot 1000 times on pinterest and insta but I meeeean – for good reason right? It is such a special little spot! If you ever go you should try to go over a weekend because last year we were there over the weekend and they do firework shows at night – let me tell ya it is magggic! It echos in the cove and its so awesome. The day we took most of these pics, Atticus had been wanting to do paddle boats all day.. but I kinda wanted to wait til the sun wasn’t so harsh because the sand down there gets scorching hot at peak hours and it burns the kids feet because they hate wearing shoes in the sand. Anyways, so we waited and when we finally got down there the boats were done for the day!!! He was so sad!

I wanted to share some photos from Paris!!! I am so happy the trip is over ONLY because I was stressing beforehand wanting everything to go according to plan – and it did, yay!!!! So I am really really happy. Trips with just our family take a lot of planning so a trip with 11 people took even more, but so worth it! When Tessa sent me these pictures I was giddy the entire night – like couldn’t even stop smiling. This was such a magical trip and I am so happy for all of the fun moments captured. We were all standing around and didn’t realize the time and all the sudden the tower started sparkling!!! We did a tutorial for this hairstyle I am wearing on our Barefoot Blonde Hair insta if you want to check it out.

Seeing the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night is just always amazing.

So I have mentioned a couple times that we brought on our first contributor to the site!!! Her name is Amy and she knows everything there is to know about beauty. She knows all the best of the best so I knew I wanted her to be the first! This post she wrote and hope you guys love! We decided to do the first one on mud masks since we were at the Blue Lagoon and because I love a good mud mask. So enjoy!!! xo

I love facial masking. So much so, that I make a full ritual of it! It usually involves a double facial cleanse, a light exfoliation, followed by a moisturizing or tightening mask, which is then followed by an evening soak in the tub (candles lit, always), or a Netflix binge (popcorn and peanut M&M’s in hand). Ritual, guys. I adore this ritual.

Photos from Mud Masking For Every Skin Type

Here are some pictures from Iceland!!! Wow guys Iceland is all it is talked up to be — I mean really wow! Every corner is something completely new and beautiful. We passed about 20 waterfalls on every drive and mountains and wild flowers – ahh. Really so stunning! We had so much fun pulling over and stopping to explore all the little corners. We saw these yellow flowers and had to pull over! And the second set of photos are from Fjadrárgljúfur Canyon!  The canyon was I think a lot of our favorites and definitely a must see if you go. We are out here in Europe with David, the kids, my assistant Laura who has been with us for almost a year, Ashley who is styling everybody’s hair, Amy who is our first contributor and is doing some beauty content that will coming soon, Tessa and her husband Cole who are doing photos and Tessa is modeling, and then Jaci and her husband Leif are doing video for BFB Hair and Jaci is also modeling 🙂 so it is a big group!!!

From city to beach to desert. And we are here to stay so I better get used to it 😉 I do think the desert is so beautiful though even in the dry heat. We just got our season passes to the desert botanical garden – even after growing up in Arizona it was my first time going. It is so pretty! Especially at sunset. Except for when David didn’t see a little chunk of cactus on the ground and stepped on it hahah his poor foot!!! Those little spikes are no joke.

For the last three years we have been living in really humid climates so the switch to Arizona has made my skin feel sooo dry. I found this really great product and embarked on the SK-II #OneBottleAwayFrom journey at just the right time because I needed something to keep my skin hydrated upon moving here.

These are from a couple weeks ago when we were in SD and went swimming with cousins! I have been staring at this screen for like 30 min and literally don’t know what to say beyond that haha. I just like our matching swimsuits and it was a fun day and thats basically all.

I have been kind of MIA on here but have some fun posts coming up so keep checking back! We just brought on our first contributor to the blog – she is coming on our trip to Europe and her and I will be doing a lot of fun beauty related posts together. She was an aesthetician and knows so many good skin and make up tips and tricks so I think you guys are going to love her. I will do a formal intro on here next week so stay tuned!

Hiii! Just wanted to pop in and say hi and share some photos from our baseball game we went to! Atticus is seriously sooo fun to hang out with and we wanted to have some alone time with him. I remember my parents taking me out by myself and even on one on ones with my dad so I really want that for my kids too. (plus it was past ro’s bedtime haha). We went with my grandparents, parents, and all my siblings and my cousin.

We head to Europe this weekend!!! We are starting our trip in Iceland and I am seriously stoooked!!!! I cannot wait. We have a super cool group going so stay tuned on insta stories to see who we invited to come with us.

Anyways hope you are all having a good week and are ready for the weekend. I am about to hop on a flight and I am listening to the audio book 4 Hour Workweek.
